Two young architects travelling, photographing and interviewing people to understand how architecture shapes everyday life.
We both finished architecture school: he at UCL in Brussels and she at the AA in London. Rather than immediately settling into a conventional job, we're choosing to keep exploring through travelling, photographing and interviewing people.
From cultural spaces and hospitality to the places we call home, we're curious about how architecture shapes everyday life.
From November 2026 onwards, we travel across Mexico, reading a country through its buildings and the people who live in them.
We will photograph, draw and interview: architects, craftspeople, hosts and residents. Each place becomes a short story on Instagram — images, a hand-drawn section and the voices behind the walls.
We work with a few partners who share our love of design and travel, and give back honest, carefully made content.

I. — Architectural Association, London
Raised in Belgium, between French and Dutch, Damasine began her journey in architecture in Brussels, continued it in Paris, where she worked at Christian de Portzamparc, and followed it to London for her Master's at the Architectural Association.
Drawn to cultural and hospitality projects, she sees architecture as a way of bringing people together through space, material, and atmosphere. For her, travelling is an education in itself — an opportunity to observe how people live, how places evolve, and how we might build more thoughtfully and consciously.
II. — UCL, Brussels
Raised in the French-speaking part of Belgium, Louis studied architecture at UCL in Brussels, working alongside his studies at LD2.
His curiosity lies in the intimacy of everyday life: how we inhabit a space, how a room can be experienced differently, and how architecture shapes our relationship with the world around us. Particularly fascinated by the threshold between inside and outside, he explores the delicate boundary where architecture meets its surroundings, and where the private world begins.

A play on out of office, and a way of thinking about architecture beyond the confines of a desk, a studio, or a classroom.
We believe that to understand architecture, we must step outside of it. To travel, to observe, to question, and to learn directly from the places we encounter. Every journey becomes a field of research; every building, an opportunity to look closer.
And then, there is the section.
The cut that reveals what a façade conceals. The drawing that makes the invisible visible — exposing the relationships, layers, and spaces that give a building its life.
Out of Section is our way of learning by moving, looking, and cutting through the surface. An ongoing exploration of architecture, people, and place — discovering how the world is built, and how we might build differently.
